"CONNECTING THE DOTS" 50 x 50 cm
Sail’15. “Slowly struggling through a crowded Amsterdam by bike with my 3 year old crying on the backseat. Trying to keep up with my husband who is in business conference call no matter what. The smell of junkfood makes my head spin, while I park my bike at Javadock next to a biketaxi that’s carrying a sign: ”STOP CHEMTRALING US”. Seemingly there is some open space to wonder around the impressive yachts visiting from all over the world. All I see are the drawings of rope and sails in a clear blue sky and my mind relaxes, all my anxious stress disappears. With my phone I take some pictures of the moment. Back at home in the middle of the centre, behind my computer I revisit that very moment in my mind I am at the dock in a state of inner relaxation.
In a kind of meditative state I create with these pictures a series DigitalArtWorks on Sail’15 from Java dock Amsterdam the Netherlands. The result is nine pieces, titled “Complicated”, “Months at sea”, “Connecting the dots”, “Time travel”,
